No May Moon is now an Advanced horse

So incredibly proud of my little mare No May Moon (owned by Nancy Winter) who is now an Advanced horse!!! I was so nervous for this very challenging track at Stable View to be her first Advanced but she was amazing!!! So many thanks to Paige Ansaldi for making Mayzie look and feel her best and to Hailey Gahan and Devon Sutherland for getting everyone settled in at the new farm in Virginia while we were away competing!

Grand-Prix Eventing Showcase at Bruce’s Field

So incredibly proud of Vandyke’s effort yesterday in the Conceal Grand-Prix Eventing Showcase at Bruce’s Field! This was his first time doing the five star dressage test and a super hard show jump course, which I felt like he handled beautifully! he is still just a little green for the cross country track today so I’ve opted not to run him but I really look forward to bringing him back in the future when he has a little more experience! Best of luck to all the competitors today and a huge thank you to The Rico Syndicate and all my sponsors that make this dream possible!

Jumping Branch Farm

Not sure how I forgot to include two amazing horses in our barn that competed Jumping Branch Farm last weekend! Devon Sutherland rode Nancy Winters Dazzling Nocturne and I rode The Zebedee Group’s Monbeg Zebedee in the Prelim both horses dressaged and jumped beautifully!
Here are Devon and Dazzle enjoying themselves!

MARS Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill

The fall season is one my favorite and busiest times of year! I am so grateful to be at MARS Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill p/b Brown Advisory this week with Nancy Winter’s No May Moon but wanted to take a moment to highlight the amazing progress some of my students have been making!

These people have been making me proud at every turn. From Maryland Horse Trials, Morven Park International, Old Tavern Horse Trials, and even the Piedmont Jumper Classic, we’ve seen moments of sheer brilliance, a touch of humility (because let’s face it, horses are masters at humbling us), and so much learning.

I am so, so proud of my students and their hard work. Congratulations to Hailey Gahan, Katie Lichten, Allyson Thomas, Courtney Olmstead, Lizzie Olmstead, Martha Wunder, Francesca Broggini, Kendal Adams and Liv Devening on their wonderful rides over the past couple of weeks.

Here are a few of our results
Plantation Field International Horse Trials
– Katie Litchen with HTS Jensen R: 1st in the CCI2*-S
The Fork at Tryon
– Matha Wunder with I’ll Have Another: 3rd in Open Novice
Maryland Horse Trials & Area II Championships
– Francesca Broggini with Cooley High Flyer: 1st in Open Training

American Eventing Championships

The AECs were a very busy and fun week! I cannot thank my dear childhood friend Cheryl Murphy Brownell for coming along on another “working holiday”!!! Cheryl is so fun to have around and did all my amazing tail braids this weekend! The next time I will see her will be at our 30th high school reunion!

So incredibly proud of my students this weekend at the 2023 USEA American Eventing Championships Presented by Nutrena Feeds !!!! Sisi Gallagher was the big winner in the Training Rider Championships, Conner Ann Clark was 10th in the Modified Rider Championships, @kendallAdams was 11th and Katie Tyer was 15th in the Novice Junior Rider division, Kathleen Herbig was 16th in the Novice Master Amateur Championships!!!!

Nancy Winter’s homebred Connemara Dazzling Nocturne and I were 11th in the Novice Horse division, Emma Whittaker was 3rd on HSH Golden Boy in the Junior 14 and under Beginner Novice division and Jen Rodgers All Clear Farm and her AC Sir Elton were Reserve Champion TIP in the Novice Horse division!

So honored to be a part of your journey! Congrats to all!!!

Great Meadow International

What a fantastic weekend at Great Meadow International! This show never fails to amaze me – the atmosphere, the camaraderie, catching up with familiar faces – it truly feels like a second home.

A massive shoutout to the incredible volunteers who keep the gears turning and the show staff who pour their hearts into making this event a success. And of course, a heartfelt thank you to all our sponsors who stand by us, making moments like these possible.

Showing three horses is no small feat, but my dream team really brought their A-game. Business Ben owned by The Business Ben Partnership in the CCI3*-S, and Monbeg Zebedee, owned by The Zebedee Group in the CCI2*-S, both securing top 20 spots. No May Moon owned by Nancy Winter, dazzled in the CCI3*-S as well, finishing 4th.

And a big cheer for my talented student Katie Lichten, who dominated the CCI2*-S with a 3rd place finish and an impressive win in the Piedmont Equine CCI2*-S Under 25 aboard HTS Jensen R. It would be hard to follow that up- except she also secured 4th place in the CCI2*-S and a 2nd in the Piedmont Equine CCI2*-S Under 25 on Romans Code Red! It’s not every day that you get to take 1st and 2nd!

Speaking of success, our recent sales horse HSH Golden Boy is off to an amazing start with his new owner Emma Whitaker. They made their mark at the Fair Hill International August Horse Trials, clinching the win in the Beginner Novice Rider-B division.
