England Day 1!!!!

So we have all arrived to England safely!!!! Arthur was on a FedEx flight on Monday August 24 at 3:30 in the morning!!! He was under the careful watch of Max Corcoran (Karen O’Connor’s groom) until Libby & I arrived today (Wednesday the 26th). Max said he was fabulous — he was very easy and traveled really well. Thanks Max!!! You are the bomb!!! 5 American horses (Arthur, Karen’s horse – Mandiba, Becky Holder’s horse – Comet, Buck’s horse – Regie. & Missy Ransenhousen’s horse – BG) are all staying at Laura Kraut’s farm near Stansted airport for the week we are here prior to burghley. Phillip’s horse – Milo is out at David Green’s farm (where we stayed last year prior to Blenheim) and the two California horses are at Mark Phillips’ place. The farmwe are at is gorgeous — the stalls are enormous and the horses have nice turnout. It is also a great location being so close to the airport where the horse fly in and out of and also not too far from Burghley. We also are not too far from London, so we hope to head into the city one night.

I went for a ride today with Becky and Karen. We rode a little in the indoor school and then hacked down the rode to play around in some big fields. Arthur felt great. We didn’t do very much as this was his first day riding after traveling.

I did find out my draw is 82 out of 100 at Burghley. I am the last American rider to compete. I wish I was going a little earlier, but it is what it is!!!
I am sorry my writing is soooooo boring today! I am forcing myself to stay awake until 9:00 pm tonight so that I can adjust to the time change as quickly as possible. I am shagged!!!!! It feels like I have been up for days!!! Wait a second…. I have been up for days!!!! Hee hee! More later!
